About Rachel

Rachel Stariha built her path to law with a steady sequence of classroom study and courtroom work. She earned a B.A. from James Madison University in 2010 and completed her J.D. at Elon University in 2015. Those years shaped her legal foundation and set the stage for a practice that spans two neighboring states.

After law school she moved into private practice. Her first recorded position was as an associate at Christina Pendleton & Associates in 2018. The following year she joined Randolph M. James, P.C. as an associate attorney, expanding her experience in client representation and case management. In 2020 she became a partner at Khan Law Office, a step that placed her in a leadership role within a small firm setting.

Stariha maintains active bar memberships in both Virginia and North Carolina. She was admitted to the Virginia bar in 2018 and to the North Carolina bar in 2019. Those admissions allow her to take on matters across state lines and to advise clients on issues that touch both jurisdictions. She handles the procedural demands of two state bars while managing client expectations and deadlines.

Colleagues describe her work as methodical and direct. She has moved from associate roles into partnership in a relatively short span, a transition that required taking on supervisory responsibilities and firm administration in addition to client work. At Khan Law Office she has had a hand in shaping case strategy and mentoring newer lawyers. Her daily practice includes drafting pleadings, negotiating resolutions, and preparing matters for hearing or trial when needed.

Her office presence is split between Khan Law Office locations in Greensboro and Reidsville. That arrangement keeps her connected to communities across the region and allows clients to access counsel at more than one office. It also means frequent travel between the two towns and regular coordination with local court calendars.

Outside of case work she remains an active member of her state bars. She keeps up with continuing legal education requirements and participates in local bar activities. Her approach to practice is pragmatic. She focuses on clear communication with clients and steady attention to procedural detail.

She is currently a partner at Khan Law Office, practicing from the firm’s Greensboro and Reidsville offices and handling matters for clients in both North Carolina and Virginia.
