About John
John Wright took a measured route into the law. He completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Oregon School of Law in 2006 and returned to study law at Rutgers School of Law 6 Newark, where he earned his J.D. in 2017. That combination of an earlier undergraduate degree and a later law degree shaped how he approaches cases and clients: pragmatic and detail-oriented.
After graduating from Rutgers, Wright moved into private practice. He joined Hill, Evans, Jordan, & Beatty LLC as an associate in 2019. At the firm he worked on a range of matters that called for careful legal research, drafting and courtroom preparation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his work and attentive to procedural detail. He also took roles that required coordinating filings and managing case documentation for litigation teams.
Wright is licensed to practice in North Carolina. His educational background and early years at the firm have kept him involved in both the preparatory and advocacy sides of practice. He has handled motion practice, client memoranda and discovery tasks. Those routine but essential responsibilities are a regular part of his caseload and form the backbone of daily law practice for many associates.
Outside the office, Wrights path hints at a broader set of interests that preceded law school. The gap between his undergraduate degree and his J.D. suggests experience outside the academy, though public records tied to his legal career focus on his studies and subsequent firm work. Within the firm he has continued to build practical experience rather than pursue public-facing legal scholarship or frequent courtroom headlines.
By 2026 Wright had accumulated several years at Hill, Evans, Jordan, & Beatty. He remains based at the firms office and is part of the team that manages client matters from intake through disposition. He approaches each file with an eye for process and an emphasis on clarity in written work. His daily work is a mix of research, drafting and client communication, reflecting the steady demands of litigation support and transactional preparation.
He currently practices at Hill, Evans, Jordan, & Beatty in North Carolina, where his work centers on client representation and the everyday tasks that move cases forward.
