About Rachel
Rachel Bland earned her law degree from Tulane University School of Law in 2016 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of the South, where she graduated in 2012 with a B.A. in Political Science. Those formative years combined a liberal arts background with professional legal training. They also shaped a practical approach to legal problems that she has carried into practice.
After law school, Bland entered private practice in Louisiana. She is admitted to practice in the state and joined Bland & Partners as an associate. The firm listing reflects a steady professional trajectory from recent graduate to practicing attorney in a regional office. Her role has involved the day-to-day legal work that supports client matters and helps the firm manage caseloads efficiently.
As an associate, Bland’s responsibilities have included legal research, drafting pleadings and memoranda, preparing discovery, and assisting in trial preparation. She has worked alongside more senior attorneys on case strategy and client communications. That collaborative work has given her experience in both courtroom preparation and the behind-the-scenes tasks that shape outcomes.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in handling factual records and attentive to procedural detail. She approaches assignments with concise written work and an eye for the practical implications of legal choices. Bland combines courtroom preparation with client-focused communications, aiming to keep matters moving and clients informed. She is also involved in mentoring newer staff on document management and research techniques within the firm.
Outside of file work, Bland remains connected to continuing legal education opportunities common to early-career lawyers. She has maintained ties to the Tulane alumni network and the legal community in Louisiana. Those relationships have informed her understanding of local rules and court practice, and they have provided a resource base for coordinated case work.
Today Bland practices at Bland & Partners in Louisiana. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in matters arising under Louisiana law, serving individuals and organizations through litigation support and transactional work.
