About R. Patrick
R. Patrick Link earned his J.D. from Temple University in 2003. He began gaining practical experience early, clerking in 2001 at Anapol, Schwartz, Weiss, Cohan, Feldman & Smalley while completing his legal education. Those early years exposed him to litigation work and the day-to-day demands of firm practice.
After law school, Link moved into government service. In 2003 he took a position as Deputy Lawyer General for the State of Delaware. Two years later he joined the office of the Honorable Lynn Abraham as an Assistant District Lawyer, handling matters in a busy public prosecutorial environment. The work sharpened his courtroom skills and brought frequent contact with judges, police, and victims’ advocates.
Link transitioned back to private practice in 2011 when he worked with David Nenner and Associates. That role placed him in a firm setting where he handled client counseling and courtroom appearances. In 2013 he began practicing at LinkLaw, LLC as a criminal defense lawyer. His time in both public prosecution and private defense has given him a perspective on how cases are evaluated on both sides of the aisle.
Throughout his career Link has remained active in professional circles. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, where he participates in meetings and continuing legal education programs. Colleagues say he attends to the procedural and evidentiary aspects of cases, and he has taken assignments that require standing in court for contested hearings and trials.
His practice centers on criminal defense work in Pennsylvania courts. He handles pretrial motions, plea negotiations, and jury trials when matters proceed to trial. Clients have included people facing a range of criminal charges, and his prior experience as a prosecutor has informed how he assesses the strength of evidence and negotiates resolutions.
Link’s career follows a steady arc from law clerk to state government attorney to prosecutor and then to defense lawyer in private practice. He maintains an active practice at LinkLaw, LLC, where he represents individuals charged with criminal offenses in Pennsylvania. He currently focuses his practice on criminal defense matters at LinkLaw, LLC.
