About Quinn P.

Quinn P. Colgan serves as counsel at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A., where he joined the firm in 2024. He is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and works out of the firm’s state offices. Colgan’s arrival at Shaheen & Gordon added a combination of legal training and business education to the firm’s roster.

Colgan completed his undergraduate studies at Duquesne University, earning a B.A. He went on to earn a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School and later pursued an MBA at the University of New Hampshire. That mix of degrees gives him grounding in both legal analysis and the practical concerns of business operations. Colgan often relies on that background when explaining complex matters to clients and colleagues.

He assumed the title of counsel at Shaheen & Gordon in 2024. In that role he contributes to the firm’s work across a range of matters, collaborating with partners and associates on research, drafting, and case preparation. Colgan’s work includes advising clients, preparing legal documents, and supporting courtroom and administrative proceedings as required by specific matters handled by the team.

Practicing in New Hampshire, Colgan engages with the state’s courts and regulatory processes. He handles matters that arise under state law and coordinates with local counsel and agencies when cases involve multiple jurisdictions. Colgan’s legal training is paired with his business studies when assessing the practical implications of legal strategies for clients in the region.

Colleagues describe him as deliberate in his written work and attentive in client meetings. He approaches files by breaking problems into discrete issues and setting clear priorities. That method helps when cases require both short-term decisions and long-term planning.

Outside of casework, Colgan’s MBA informs how he frames legal advice in business terms. He aims to make the costs, risks, and potential outcomes understandable to nonlawyers. That orientation shapes how he prepares memos, settlement analyses, and strategic recommendations for clients and the firm’s litigation teams.

He joined Shaheen & Gordon relatively recently and continues to integrate into the firm’s practice groups. His current practice focuses on matters arising in New Hampshire, handled through his role at Shaheen & Gordon, P.A.
