About Pierre

Pierre Zado built a legal path that combines business training and appellate practice. He studied economics at the University of Southern California, where he graduated in 1996 with a B.A. and a minor in business finance. He then returned to school in the Midwest, earning an M.B.A. in entrepreneurship from Valparaiso University in 2005 and his J.D. there a year later. Later coursework at Stanford University’s continuing studies program in management rounded out his formal education in 2011.

Early in his career Zado moved between research and editorial work and more traditional legal roles. He worked as a research analyst for Thomson Reuters in 2010. The following year he took on a team lead position in legal and community at FindLaw.com, where he managed content and outreach efforts aimed at legal professionals and the public.

Zado’s courtroom and appellate credentials include admission to practice before the Ninth Circuit, the D.C. Circuit, the Federal Circuit and the State of California. That mix of state and federal admissions has shaped the kinds of matters he takes. He is also an accredited lawyer through the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, which authorizes him to represent veterans in claims and appeals before the VA.

Beyond his casework, Zado has remained connected to local bar organizations. He has been a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco since 2013 and belonged to the Bar Association of San Mateo between 2013 and 2014. Earlier in the last decade he held membership in the Bar Association of Santa Clara from 2011 to 2013. Those memberships reflect sustained ties to the Bay Area legal community.

Colleagues describe Zado as deliberate in his approach. He combines a background in economics and business with courtroom procedure and appellate briefing. He has handled matters that require attention to both factual record and legal argument, particularly where federal review or veterans’ benefits are involved.

Zado practices from the Zado Law Office. He divides his time between representation in federal and state proceedings and advocacy for clients dealing with the VA. He continues to accept cases that involve federal appeals and veterans’ claims, and he maintains an active bar presence in California and the federal circuits where he is admitted.
