About Phillip

Phillip Younglove began his legal path at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2011. He went on to the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and received his J.D. in 2015. The classroom years gave him a foundation in legal research and trial advocacy that would shape his early career choices.

After law school, Younglove entered public service and hands-on legal training. In 2013 he worked as an intern for Christian Legal Aid and served as a law clerk in the Orange County District Attorney’s Office the same year. He spent 2014 as a certified law clerk in the Riverside Public Defender’s Office, gaining courtroom exposure and experience handling client interviews, motions and case preparation on criminal matters.

Younglove moved into civil practice following admission to the State Bar of California in 2016. He joined Sweet James, LLP as an associate in 2015, representing plaintiffs in personal injury matters and helping to build case strategies, handle discovery and negotiate settlements. Those years in a plaintiff’s shop sharpened his tactics for pursuing compensation after accidents and other injuries.

In 2021 he became a partner at Younglove Law Group Personal Injury & Accident Lawyers. His role there broadened to include managing cases from intake through resolution, mentoring junior lawyers and coordinating with experts. He handles depositions, settlement negotiations and trial preparation. The firm lists offices in multiple locations within California, where he appears for clients at mediations and in court.

Younglove belongs to several professional organizations. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2016 and holds memberships in the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Orange County Bar Association beginning in 2016 and 2018 respectively. He also belongs to the Consumer Lawyers Association of Los Angeles and the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association.

Colleagues describe him as steady in litigation and direct with clients. He draws on both public defender and plaintiff-side experience to evaluate claims and pursue damages in injury cases. He tends to take cases that involve automobile collisions, premises liability and other accident-related injuries. He represents clients throughout California, aiming to resolve claims through negotiation when possible and to be prepared to try cases when necessary.

He represents individuals injured in motor vehicle and other accidents across California.
