About Blaine M.

Blaine M. Brown built his legal path around the courtroom. He combined a business education and a law degree before stepping into trial work in California.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from California State University, Chico. After that he attended Western State College of Law at Argosy University, where he received his Juris Doctor. Those two degrees set the tone for a practice that blends analytical rigor and procedural steadiness.

Brown began his professional career as a law clerk at Gates, Gonter, Guy, Proudfoot & Muench, LLP in 2018. The clerkship led directly to a trial lawyer position at the same firm in 2019. Early on he worked on the nuts and bolts of litigation: drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and preparing witnesses for deposition and trial.

In 2021 he moved to Hess Verdon & Associates, APC as a trial lawyer. That year brought new responsibilities and courtroom time. He then joined OC Trial Group, APC in 2022 as a shareholder and trial lawyer. That role added management duties to his docket work. It also placed him among colleagues who focus on contested matters that require trial-level advocacy.

Across those positions Brown has worked exclusively in California courts. His experience runs from pretrial motion practice through live trials. He is familiar with the procedural rhythms of state litigation and with the practical demands of preparing a case for trial. He handles the litigation process end to end: investigation, discovery strategy, motion practice, and trial presentation.

Brown maintains current professional memberships and participates in the professional life of the bar. Colleagues describe him as steady and attentive at trial, the kind of lawyer who manages detail without losing sight of the case narrative. He brings a background in finance to case assessment and settlement analysis, which clients and peers find useful when evaluating complex claims.

He now practices as a shareholder and trial lawyer at OC Trial Group, APC. He focuses his practice on litigating cases in California state courts and continues to try cases and manage litigation matters on behalf of clients.
