About Ashley
Ashley Brown studied liberal arts at the University of Texas–Austin before moving to San Diego to attend law school. She earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego, where she combined classroom work with practical training in trial advocacy and civil litigation clinics. Those early experiences shaped her decision to pursue work on the plaintiff side of personal injury law.
After law school she established her practice in California and has been admitted to practice in that state. She began her legal career in roles that emphasized client intake and case investigation. Over time she took on more responsibility for drafting pleadings, conducting discovery and preparing cases for settlement negotiations and trial.
Her current role is as an associate lawyer at Sweet James Accident Lawyers. In that position she handles accident and injury matters from the initial client interview through resolution. She works on vehicle collision cases, slip-and-fall claims and other accident-related personal injury files. She regularly interviews medical providers, coordinates evidence collection and prepares legal filings to advance claims on behalf of injured clients.
Colleagues describe her work as steady and practical. She combines courtroom preparation with case management tasks, ensuring that clients receive routine updates and that deadlines are met. She has experience organizing the factual record in complex injury cases and supports litigation by preparing witness statements, managing discovery and assisting at depositions.
Outside of firm matters she maintains active membership in professional associations. Those memberships keep her connected to continuing education and developments in tort law. She also spends time studying changes in insurance regulations and case law that affect how accident claims are pursued and resolved in California.
Clients and co-workers see her as a reliable presence during what can be a difficult period after an injury. She favors direct communication and careful preparation. She currently represents people injured in vehicle collisions and other accident-related personal injury matters.
