About Patricia C.

Patricia C. Wall-Santiago trained as a lawyer at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2000. She had earlier completed a B.A. in philosophy at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez in 1995. After law school she spent time in Spain on an exchange at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2002, where she studied topics that included the European Union constitution and organized crime in the EU.

Her legal career spans private practice, nonprofit advocacy and departmental leadership. She began in the mainland Puerto Rico bar as an associate at Burgos & Sosa, P.A. in 2004, then moved to Feldenkrais Law, P.A. in 2005. By 2008 she was practicing under her own name as an immigration lawyer, and later joined Angel F. Leal, Jr., P.A. as an associate in 2014. In 2016 she shifted into nonprofit work as an immigration advocate with C.A.S.A., a role that placed her directly in community-facing representation. In 2019 she was named head of the immigration department at Stok Kon + Braverman.

Those stops trace a steady focus on immigration work. Her time in nonprofit advocacy gave her direct exposure to the needs of clients who lack resources. Her private-practice years involved typical immigration casework and office-based litigation. The Madrid exchange added an international law perspective, especially on cross-border legal issues and criminal law intersections that can arise in immigration matters.

Wall-Santiago holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the Puerto Rico Bar Association. She has maintained those professional ties while moving between the nonprofit and private sectors. Colleagues describe her approach as practical and case-driven: she prepares filings, appears before administrative bodies, and manages litigation strategy when matters progress to court. Her career shows repeated returns to client representation rather than administrative or academic posts.

She now heads the immigration department at Stok Kon + Braverman. In that role she oversees case intake and supervises other attorneys while continuing to represent clients directly. She practices immigration law at Stok Kon + Braverman and represents individuals and families in immigration matters before agencies and courts.
