About Paola
Paola Pearson earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2014. She completed her legal studies in a period that emphasized courtroom procedure and appellate writing, and left law school ready to enter practice. Her educational background provided a foundation in civil litigation and federal practice, areas she would pursue after graduation.
She began her professional career at Anapol Weiss in 2014 as an associate lawyer. That early role placed her on litigation teams handling a range of civil matters. Her duties included legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing discovery requests and responses, and assisting in the preparation of depositions and trial exhibits. She also worked on appellate filings when cases progressed beyond the trial court level.
Pearson is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is also admitted to appear before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Those admissions allow her to handle matters in both state and federal forums. Over the years she has worked on procedural and substantive issues that arise in multi-jurisdictional disputes, and she is familiar with the mechanics of briefing and advocacy at the appellate level.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in her approach to case development. She focuses on building clear factual records and producing concise legal arguments. That approach has guided her work on witness preparation, evidence development and courtroom filings. As an associate, she has collaborated with more senior litigators on strategy while also taking primary responsibility for discrete litigation tasks.
Outside formal filings, Pearson has contributed to case strategy sessions and client communications. She has taken part in settlement discussions and assisted in the negotiation of procedural agreements. Those activities are part of the day-to-day responsibilities she has handled while at the firm.
She continues to practice through Anapol Weiss, representing clients in litigation across New Jersey and Pennsylvania and in matters that proceed to federal appellate review. Her current practice concentrates on litigation in state and federal courts in those jurisdictions.
