Olivier Alain Taillieu is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2000. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Taillieu is a partner at BD&J, PC, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. He has been practicing law for over 25 years, serving clients throughout the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area and surrounding counties in Southern California.
Mr. Taillieu earned his Juris Doctor degree from The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated first in his class in 1999. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Arizona State University, graduating summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996. During his time at George Washington University, he was the Managing Editor of the George Washington Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif, a prestigious honor society for law graduates.
Mr. Taillieu concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury law, products liability, and asbestos and mesothelioma cases. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving traumatic brain injuries, workplace accidents, and exposure to hazardous materials. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Throughout his career, Mr. Taillieu has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Los Angeles, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to joining BD&J, PC, he worked as an associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP in Los Angeles, where he gained extensive experience in complex litigation.
Mr. Taillieu is an active member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA) Board of Governors and serves on the board of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC). He is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Golden Key Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He has been selected six times to the Southern California Super Lawyers list and has been named one of the "10 Best in Client Satisfaction" lawyers for the past three years.
