About Nina
Nina Couch built her legal foundation in Louisville. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Bellarmine University and completed her Juris Doctor at the University of Louisville. Those years shaped a practical approach to legal work and an interest in courtroom procedure.
Early in her career Couch worked in roles that exposed her to both transactional and litigation environments. In 2013 she served as a law clerk at Siller Waterman, LLC and spent part of that year as a legal intern at Churchill Downs Incorporated. Those positions offered courtroom observation and hands-on research. The experience helped her move into firm practice the following year.
In 2014 she joined Frost Brown Todd as a lawyer. There she handled matters that required careful drafting and client counseling. The work at a larger firm added structure to her practice and broadened the kinds of matters she managed. By 2017 she was practicing at Taylor Couch, PLLC, where her responsibilities expanded to include direct client representation and courtroom appearances.
Couch maintains admissions to Kentucky’s courts and to both federal districts that serve the state: the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky. She is active in local professional groups, holding membership in the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Bar Association. Those memberships provide regular contact with peers and a channel for staying current on developments in state and federal rules.
Her practice history reflects a balance between litigation support and client-facing advocacy. She has experience in legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation. Colleagues describe her work as methodical and detail-oriented. Clients see a lawyer who prepares thoroughly and argues clearly when the matter proceeds beyond negotiation.
Couch’s path from clerkship and internships to a role at a regional firm traces a steady progression of responsibility. She continues to appear in Kentucky courts and federal district courts in the state. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in state and federal matters in Kentucky.
