About Nigel S
Nigel S Scott completed his undergraduate studies at Georgetown University before earning a J.D. from Delaware Law School in 2010. His legal education combined classroom work with practical training, setting the stage for a practice that spans both state and federal venues.
Soon after law school, Scott gained admission to practice in Pennsylvania. He later secured admission to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and to practice in the District of Columbia. In 2018 he added membership in the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. Those credentials reflect a practice that reaches beyond a single courtroom.
Scott’s professional affiliations include membership in the Philadelphia Criminal Inn of Court, which he joined in 2017. He has taken part in the Inn’s programming and events aimed at improving courtroom advocacy and professional standards among Philadelphia practitioners.
Across his career Scott has handled matters that required appearances in both trial and appellate forums. He has experience preparing written submissions for federal appellate consideration and presenting oral argument in contested hearings at the trial level. That mixture of contest and appellate work has informed the way he approaches legal problems: methodical preparation, attention to procedural detail, and clear written advocacy.
He practices through Aegis Law, LLC. At the firm he represents clients in matters that arise in Pennsylvania and in federal courts where he is admitted. His caseload has included contested hearings, motion practice, and appellate briefs. Scott also maintains active professional memberships that keep him connected to developments in criminal practice and appellate procedure.
Outside the courtroom he participates in continuing legal education and local professional groups tied to litigation practice. Colleagues describe him as approachable in conferences and thorough in courtroom filings. He currently practices at Aegis Law, LLC, handling litigation matters in state and federal courts.
