About Nicole M.
Nicole M. Ziegler built a foundation in the liberal arts before turning to law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in business, from the University of Saint Francis in 2006 after beginning her undergraduate studies in 2002. She continued her studies at Florida Coastal School of Law and received her Juris Doctor in 2009, completing three years of study that followed her undergraduate degree.
Early in law school she gained exposure to judicial work. In 2008 she served as a judicial intern at the Florida Supreme Court. Her internship placed her in chambers with Justice Ricky Polston and former Justice Kenneth Bell. The experience offered direct contact with appellate briefing, opinion drafting and the internal mechanics of the state’s highest court.
Before and after that internship she worked in private practice as a law clerk. In 2007 she clerked at the Law Office of Fred Tromberg and at the Law Office of Chris Johns and Associates. Those positions involved file management, legal research and drafting for trial-level matters. After graduation she moved into associate-level roles, first at the Law Office of Rod McIntyre in 2009 and then at Keane, Reese, Vesely & Gerdes, P.A. in 2010.
Her resume shows steady movement from clerkships into associate work. That path gave her experience on both sides of the courtroom door: assisting judges and supporting litigation teams. She handled tasks common to both settings, including legal research, brief writing and preparation for hearings. Colleagues from those offices have described her as methodical in approach and attentive to procedural detail.
Ziegler’s time at the Florida Supreme Court is a notable strand in her background. It exposed her to appellate procedure and the kinds of legal argument that shape statewide precedent. At the same time her years in private practice kept her connected to the tactical demands of trial work. The combination has informed how she approaches cases: careful attention to record and to the rules that govern filed matters.
She is admitted to practice in Florida and continues to work in the state. Her current practice draws on both her court-side experience and her years in law firms, and concentrates on matters handled in Florida courts.
