About Nichole
Nichole Dusche earned her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in 2002 and completed her legal education at Nashville School of Law in 2012. Her academic path placed her in Tennessee's legal community early. The timing of her degrees set a clear trajectory into practice and public service in the state.
Her first recorded role in the legal field was as Domestic Violence Coordinator in 2011 at the Office of the District Lawyer General for the 21st Judicial District. She moved into the prosecutor’s office as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2013. In those roles she handled courtroom responsibilities and case management tasks common to district lawyer offices. The experience gave her direct exposure to criminal filings, evidentiary work, and interactions with victims, witnesses and law enforcement.
In 2017 she opened a private practice, listed as the Law Office of Nichole Dusché, and began operating as lawyer and owner. Running a small law office required her to shift between client counseling, court appearances and the administrative duties of managing a practice. That transition is reflected in the mix of public and private work on her resume.
Her career shows movement across different sides of the criminal justice process. Time in the district lawyer’s office meant prosecutorial experience. Subsequent work in private practice and membership in professional associations indicates involvement in defense work and broader practice issues. She maintains professional connections through the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Tennessee Bar Association. Those memberships place her in the networks that handle criminal defense strategy and statewide bar matters.
Colleagues and clients see a practitioner who knows state court procedure in Tennessee. She has argued matters in the 21st Judicial District and appears regularly in state court. Casework has required courtroom presence, negotiation and motion practice. Her background in the district lawyer’s office informs how she approaches case evaluation and litigation.
Her practice is conducted in Tennessee courts and reflects steady engagement with criminal matters since her early public service years. She balances litigation with the day-to-day demands of running a solo firm. Her current practice centers on criminal defense and related matters in Tennessee.
