About Nicholas
Nicholas Pinto earned a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University in 1968 and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers University–Camden in 1975. His academic path steered him toward courtroom work, and the degrees marked the start of a long legal career. He moved into practice in the Mid-Atlantic and has kept close ties to both Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
He has worked as a trial lawyer under the name Nicholas V. Pinto, Lawyer-at-Law. Over the years his work has taken him into state courtrooms in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and into the federal system, including appearances in the Third Circuit. He is known in professional circles as a practitioner who prefers the contested setting of a trial to paper-only lawyering.
Early in his career he built experience handling litigated matters that required courtroom advocacy. He litigated motions, prepared witnesses, and conducted jury trials. Those responsibilities shaped the practical habits that continue to guide his practice: close preparation, attention to evidentiary detail and a readiness to take a case before a jury when circumstances require it.
His admissions include the Pennsylvania and New Jersey bars and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. That combination has allowed him to pursue remedies in both state and federal forums. When appeals have been necessary, he has been able to carry cases up through the federal appellate level in the region that covers his home jurisdictions.
Pinto has maintained offices in New Jersey and in Philadelphia. The New Jersey office serves clients throughout that state, while the Philadelphia location handles matters in Pennsylvania and nearby federal courts. For clients who want courtroom representation rather than negotiation at a desk, those offices provide a trial-ready base of operations.
After earning his J.D. in 1975, he has practiced law for more than fifty years. His practice remains organized around trial work and courtroom litigation across Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Third Circuit. He currently maintains offices in New Jersey and Philadelphia and practices trial law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the Third Circuit.
