About Monique

Monique White made an uncommon academic pairing early in her career. She earned two bachelor's degrees in 1999—one from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and another, a B.S. in Nursing, from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. Three years later she graduated from Rutgers School of Law–Camden, receiving her J.D. in 2002.

Her path bridges clinical and legal training. Nursing gave her direct exposure to patient care and the practical pressures of healthcare settings. Law school added training in analysis, advocacy and procedure. That combination informs how she evaluates facts and prepares arguments.

After law school she entered practice in New Jersey. Public records list her as licensed in that jurisdiction. Over the years she has worked on matters that draw on both medical knowledge and legal technique. Colleagues describe her style as methodical. She pieces together medical records and legal rules carefully, and she pays attention to chronology and detail.

Her educational background steers the kinds of questions she asks in a file. Medical terminology is not foreign to her. She can read a chart, speak to clinicians and understand the clinical decision points that matter in litigation. Those skills do not substitute for specialist credentials, but they shape how she prepares witnesses and structures discovery.

She practices at Shekinah Legal LLC. The firm is her professional base in New Jersey. She handles intake, client interviews and case strategy from that office. She balances courtroom preparation with negotiation and document work. She also spends time explaining complex medical issues in plain terms so clients and jurors can grasp them.

Outside the file work, she participates in continuing education to keep current on both legal developments and medical standards. That dual attention matters when case law touches clinical practice or regulatory issues intersect with patient care. It also informs how she assesses expert testimony and how she frames legal theories around medical facts.

Her work to date reflects a steady integration of two disciplines rather than a departure from either. She brings nursing experience into legal practice in ways that aim for clarity and accuracy rather than showmanship. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and currently practices law at Shekinah Legal LLC, concentrating on matters that sit at the intersection of healthcare and the law.
