About Nicholas
Nicholas Pappas earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2017 after completing a B.A. in philosophy at the University of Maryland, College Park in 2013. His academic background combined a focus on analytical reasoning and legal training. Those years of study set the groundwork for his work in litigation and client representation.
After law school, Pappas moved into civil practice and gravitated toward personal injury law. He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. He also holds membership in the District of Columbia Bar, which he joined in 2023 and maintains through the present. Those admissions enable him to file cases at state and federal levels in the mid-Atlantic region.
Pappas works as an associate lawyer at Lebowitz & Mzhen Personal Injury Lawyers. In that role he handles matters arising from accidents and injury claims. His duties include investigating incidents, evaluating potential claims, preparing pleadings and motions, and participating in settlement discussions. He also appears in court when cases move beyond negotiation and into litigation. Colleagues and clients encounter him most often in contexts that require organizing medical records, coordinating with experts, and managing the procedural demands of civil cases.
The work is detail-oriented and deadline-driven. Pappas applies the critical thinking skills from his undergraduate study in philosophy to the facts of each case. He spends time reviewing records and assessing liability and damages. He also communicates case developments and legal options to clients. Those conversations shape expectations about timelines and possible outcomes.
Outside casework, Pappas maintains professional ties through bar membership in the District of Columbia. That affiliation places him in a network of practitioners across the city and region. It also keeps him current on procedural rules and practice developments that affect how civil claims are litigated.
Pappas’s practice remains centered on personal injury and civil litigation at Lebowitz & Mzhen Personal Injury Lawyers. He represents clients in claims for physical injury and related losses and continues to handle case preparation, filings, negotiations, and courtroom proceedings as part of his daily work.
