About Neil F.
Neil F. Faigel trained in Massachusetts and Ohio. He earned a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 1982 and a J.D. from Cleveland State University's Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1987. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He has held membership in the Massachusetts State Bar since 1988.
His legal career began soon after law school. In 1988 he joined Jack Zalkind & Associates in Boston as an associate. Those early years provided courtroom exposure and case-handling responsibilities. He worked alongside trial lawyers in a busy practice environment and built experience in both pretrial work and litigation management.
In 1995 he established a private practice under the name Neil F. Faigel & Associates. Over time that office became the primary vehicle for his legal work. He has represented clients in state and federal forums and has taken cases through various stages of litigation, including appeals. The firm has operated out of Massachusetts and has served a local client base, handling matters that required appearances in municipal, superior, and federal courts.
Beyond his practice, he has been involved in legal education. In 2005 he served as an adjunct professor at the Massachusetts School of Law at Andover. In that role he worked with law students in classroom and seminar settings and brought practical courtroom perspective to academic instruction.
Throughout his career he has maintained practice rights in Massachusetts and before the First Circuit. That combination has allowed him to handle matters that move from trial courts to appellate review. His work has involved case preparation, courtroom advocacy, and written appellate submissions when cases progressed beyond the trial level.
Today he continues to maintain an active practice at Neil F. Faigel & Associates. He handles litigation and court appearances in Massachusetts and represents clients in matters that may proceed to the First Circuit on appeal. His office remains focused on providing representation in state and federal matters and on guiding cases through trial and appellate stages.
