About Nathan
Nathan Sparks completed his undergraduate studies at Centre College in 2017, earning a B.A. in International Studies. He stayed in the region for law school and received his J.D. from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2022. Those formative years gave him exposure to both regional legal institutions and the practical demands of clinic work and local courts.
After finishing law school, Sparks began practicing in the Ohio area. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and is part of the legal communities that span the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. He joined The Lawrence Firm, PSC as a member of the firm’s legal staff, where he has taken on cases that arise under state law and engage with local court systems.
Sparks maintains professional ties through several bar and advocacy organizations. He holds current memberships in the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, and the Kentucky Justice Association. Those memberships keep him connected to continuing legal education opportunities and to colleagues across neighboring jurisdictions.
Colleagues describe Sparks as methodical in his preparation and straightforward in court. He approaches files by breaking down complex factual records into discrete issues and then addressing them through established procedural avenues. That approach results in clear written work and direct oral advocacy when appearances are required.
Outside of casework, Sparks has shown interest in regional legal networks. He attends local bar events and participates in programming that addresses developments in Ohio and Kentucky law. He also draws on his international studies background when cases raise cross-border or comparative-law questions, treating those elements as another layer of factual and legal analysis rather than an abstract topic.
Sparks’s practice is grounded in the institutions where he trained and now works. He handles matters that require familiarity with state statutes and local court practices, and he works closely with clients to set realistic goals. He is based at The Lawrence Firm, PSC and continues to work on cases in Ohio. His current practice focuses on representing clients in matters arising under state law and in local courts.
