About Nathan Scott

Nathan Scott Moore took a straightforward path into the law. He studied economics at Vanderbilt University, earning a B.A. in 1999, and then moved on to George Mason University School of Law where he completed his J.D. in 2002. Those years shaped a practical approach to legal problems and a steady interest in the everyday business of the courts.

After law school he entered practice in Tennessee. He became a member of the Tennessee Bar Association in 2002 and has retained that membership since. The association role has kept him connected to developments in state law and the professional community where he works.

Over the years Moore has built a practice centered on matters arising under Tennessee law. He handles cases and client matters that require familiarity with state statutes, court procedures and local practice. He places emphasis on clear legal analysis and on preparing cases to move through the system efficiently. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he approaches issues with attention to precedent and procedure rather than spectacle.

Moore’s day‑to‑day work involves counseling clients, drafting pleadings and appearing in court when needed. He spends substantial time on case preparation: gathering facts, assessing legal theories and mapping out litigation or resolution strategies. He keeps abreast of changes in Tennessee rules and opinions, and he aims to apply those developments to his clients’ matters.

Beyond his casework, he participates in the bar association activities that shape practice in the state. Those engagements give him a view of emerging trends and provide a forum for the practical questions that lawyers handle for clients every day. He is comfortable operating in both litigation settings and transactional contexts where state law governs the outcome.

Moore is based at Moore Love Law, where he handles matters arising in Tennessee courts and state agencies. He continues to work on matters that require careful knowledge of Tennessee law and court practice, representing clients through each stage of their cases. He currently practices at Moore Love Law, where his work centers on advising and representing clients in Tennessee state matters.
