About Nathan J

Nathan J Forck built a legal path that began in Missouri classrooms and led to private practice. He earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of Missouri–St. Louis in 1999 and completed his J.D. at the University of Missouri–Columbia in 2001. Those years set the foundation for a career centered on legal issues affecting older adults.

After law school he entered practice in Missouri. In 2009 he became the owner of The Elder Firm, LLC. The move formalized his interest in matters commonly grouped under elder law and related planning. Over time his practice shaped around counseling clients on the legal questions that come with aging, incapacity, and long-term care.

Forck has been involved in professional and community groups tied to his area of practice. He was a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys beginning in 2009 and listed as a member of Elder Law Answers in 2010. In 2011 he joined the Columbia Downtown Optimists. Those memberships reflect an engagement with both his specialty and the local community.

Colleagues and clients encounter a practitioner who leans on practical problem solving. He addresses matters such as estate planning documents, guardianship issues, and public benefits planning. He works with families on preparing for transitions in health and finances. The work often requires coordinating with financial advisers, care providers, and public agencies to put arrangements in place that address both legal and real-world needs.

Forck’s office operates under The Elder Firm, LLC. He maintains his practice in Missouri and focuses on cases and client matters that arise under state law. The firm’s organization allows him to handle files from initial counseling through the preparation of legal instruments and, when necessary, through litigation or administrative proceedings.

Over the years his practice has emphasized clear communication and practical solutions for aging clients and their families. He continues to serve clients in Missouri through The Elder Firm, LLC, focusing his work on elder law and related planning matters.
