About Natalie
Natalie Mihalek entered the study of law after completing a political science degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. She earned her J.D. from Appalachian School of Law in 2007. Those years set the stage for a career that moved quickly from public service into private practice.
She began her legal career in Allegheny County, taking a position as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2007. The role placed her on the front lines of the county’s legal work and gave her early experience in courtroom procedures and case management. After a few years in the public sector, she shifted to private practice.
In 2010 Mihalek joined Elliott & Davis, PC as a lawyer. Her time at that firm exposed her to the rhythms of civil practice and the demands of client representation in a firm setting. Colleagues from that period describe her as steady and methodical. She applied the skills developed in public office to the caseload and administrative duties typical of a private firm.
In 2014 she opened her own practice, operating under the name Natalie Mihalek Lawyer at Law. Running a solo firm required her to take on both legal work and business responsibilities. She manages client intake, case strategy, and the everyday operations of a small law office. That move marked a shift from employee to principal and changed how she engages with clients and the courts.
Outside the office, Mihalek remains active in local professional life. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and serves on the board of directors for the Upper St. Clair Bethel Park Rotary Club. Those roles reflect an interest in community involvement and local professional networks rather than in statewide or national legal organizations.
Across roles in the district office, at a private firm, and now as owner of her own practice, Mihalek has built a career rooted in Pennsylvania courts and communities. She works from a base of procedural knowledge gained both as a public lawyer and as an attorney in private practice. Her current practice emphasizes direct client representation and handling matters in Pennsylvania state courts from her firm, Natalie Mihalek Lawyer at Law.
