About Natalie

Natalie Hein earned her J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 2015. She arrived in the legal profession after a concentrated period of study and moved quickly into work that tested research and writing skills. Those early years set a steady tone for how she approaches cases and client questions.

Her first position out of law school was as a judicial law clerk for the Nebraska Supreme Court in 2015. In that role she assisted justices with legal research, prepared bench memoranda, and reviewed records on appeal. The experience offered a close view of appellate procedure and opinion drafting. It also required careful attention to statutory interpretation and procedural rules.

After completing the clerkship, Hein joined Welch Law Office, P.C., where she has practiced since. She is admitted to the bars in Nebraska and Iowa. At the firm she handles matters that cross state lines, counsel clients through procedural steps, and manages written advocacy. Colleagues describe her as methodical. She tends to favor clear legal writing and orderly case preparation.

Hein maintains active ties to the local legal community. She is a member of the Omaha Bar Association. That affiliation keeps her connected to colleagues across practice areas and local court developments. Outside the bar, she chairs Nebraska Friends of Midwives, a volunteer position that places her at the intersection of legal work and community health issues. As chair she supports organizational governance, fundraising efforts, and outreach projects aimed at expanding access to midwifery resources.

Her blend of judicial experience and private practice shapes how she evaluates legal problems. The time spent at the Nebraska Supreme Court left a lasting imprint on her approach to briefing and oral argument. In private practice she applies that perspective to client representation and case strategy. She also participates in continuing legal education to stay current on changes in state law.

Hein balances courtroom preparation with community engagement, and she remains active in professional organizations around Omaha. She continues to practice at Welch Law Office, P.C., and her current practice concentrates on matters arising in Nebraska and Iowa.
