About Naomi Andrea
Naomi Andrea Muhamed built her legal path in Las Vegas. She earned a B.A. from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas in 2016 and completed her J.D. at the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2021. Those credentials bookend years of work in public interest and defense settings that shaped her early practice.
While still in law school, Muhamed took on hands-on roles that exposed her to client-facing work and courtroom procedure. In 2019 she worked as a law clerk at the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada. The following year she served as an extern at the Clark County Public Defender’s Office, where she assisted on cases and observed trial preparation. Those placements gave her repeated opportunities to flesh out legal research, draft pleadings, and help prepare for hearings.
After law school she moved into private practice. In 2021 she joined the Las Vegas Defense Group as an associate lawyer. Her time there has involved casework typical of a defense firm, including client interviews, discovery review, and trial preparation. Colleagues note that she handles routine litigation tasks and contributes to case strategy discussions.
Muhamed’s path reflects steady immersion in criminal and civil defense environments. Her law clerk and extern roles offered courtroom exposure early on. At the same time, private practice demanded a shift from supervised learning to handling client responsibilities directly. That combination of public sector training and private firm practice has structured the first years of her career.
Outside the office she has maintained professional ties in Nevada’s legal community. She holds membership in at least one professional association, and she remains active in networking that supports her practice. Those connections have allowed her to stay current on local procedure and trial practice trends.
Colleagues describe Muhamed as someone who produces clear written work and who approaches hearing preparation methodically. She balances research and client contact, and she continues to grow through courtroom experience. Naomi Muhamed practices law in Nevada and currently works at the Las Vegas Defense Group, where her practice focuses on defense work in the state.
