About Ms. Snehal
Ms. Snehal Massey graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2015. She completed her J.D. the same year she began working in the Maryland legal system. Her early legal training included a clerkship that introduced her to courtroom procedure and case management.
After law school, Massey served as a law clerk to The Honorable Ronald A. Silkworth (Ret.) in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland. That 2015 clerkship put her inside the courthouse and gave her regular exposure to family and civil calendars. In 2016 she moved into private practice as an associate at Butler, McKeon & Associates, P.A., and then in 2020 she joined Turnbull, Nicholson & Sanders, P.A. as an associate lawyer.
She established SPM Law, LLC. in 2021 and took on the role of principal. That step shifted her daily work from the rhythm of larger firms to running a smaller practice. As principal she manages client representation and the administrative demands that come with running a firm.
Massey’s credentials include collaborative law training provided by the Bar Association of Montgomery County’s Family Law Section and child counsel training through the Maryland State Bar Association. Those certifications align with the kinds of matters she handles: custody, support, child representation and negotiated resolutions in family-law cases. Her background as a clerk also informs how she prepares cases for court, evaluates evidence and presents arguments in hearings.
She has been active in bar associations and committee work across the Baltimore and Washington regions. In 2021 she began serving on the South Asian Bar Association’s D.C. chapter executive board and its Racial Justice Committee, roles she has continued through later terms. Within the Baltimore County Bar Association she has held positions on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and later served as vice-chair of the Judicial Selections Committee. In 2023 she added leadership roles in the Maryland Association for Justice, where she co-chairs the Family Law Committee.
Peers and local colleagues know Massey for steady participation in committee work and for taking on the administrative tasks of leadership. She balances courtroom work, client counseling and practice management in her role as principal. She currently practices in Maryland and concentrates on family law, child counsel matters and collaborative dispute resolution.
