About Ms. Carrie B.

Ms. Carrie B. Williamson built a varied education before she ever set foot in a courtroom. She earned two bachelor’s degrees in 1988—one in equestrian science from Stephens College and one in animal science from the University of Missouri–Columbia. A decade later she completed an MBA at Webster University. She returned to the University of Missouri–Columbia for law school and received her J.D. in 2008.

Williamson entered the Missouri legal community in the years that followed. She became licensed through The Missouri Bar in 2010 and soon after worked as an associate at Smith & Turley. That early period of practice coincided with her gaining certification as a guardian ad litem through The Missouri Bar, a credential that enabled court-appointed representation in matters involving children and vulnerable parties.

Her path to law was not linear. The combination of agricultural and business studies before law school informs her approach to cases that touch community, family, and local institutions. She has balanced practice with steady civic engagement in Pulaski County and the Waynesville–St. Robert area. Her roles include chairing the Pulaski County Extension Council since 2014 and serving as a director of the local chamber of commerce since 2013.

Williamson has also been active in volunteer and professional organizations tied to both agriculture and the legal profession. She has been a certified Master Gardener since 2011 and led the Pulaski County Master Gardeners as chapter president from 2012 to 2014. Her association with the Pulaski County Bar Association dates to 2010, aligning with her membership in the statewide bar.

Colleagues describe her as someone who moved from a broad academic foundation into legal work that intersects community services and the courts. Her certification as a guardian ad litem reflects a role that requires courtroom knowledge, investigative steadiness, and the capacity to represent children's interests in family proceedings. She has combined that credential with local leadership in extension services and economic development efforts through the chamber of commerce.

Williamson remains an active Missouri lawyer who continues to participate in local civic institutions while maintaining her legal credentials and guardian ad litem certification. Her current practice is based in Missouri, and she continues to engage in both legal work and community service in the Pulaski County region.
