About Mrs. Katherine B. H.

Mrs. Katherine B. H. Dare earned her law degree from Appalachian School of Law in 2006 after completing a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies at Christopher Newport University in 2001. She built a foundation in legal education across those years and moved into practice in the years that followed.

She established The Dare Law Office, PLLC in 2010 and has served as its owner and lawyer since then. The decision to found a small firm allowed her to shape a practice around the kinds of matters she prefers to handle and the level of client service she offers. That choice also set the tone for a career spent in private practice rather than in large firm or public sector roles.

Dare is admitted to practice in North Carolina and conducts her work within the state. Her office operates as a single-owner firm, and she is the primary attorney clients encounter. She handles client representation, prepares filings and appears in court when necessary. The practice model is that of a local law office serving individuals and businesses in the state.

She has been active in professional organizations since 2009. Her memberships include the North Carolina Bar Association, the 28th Judicial District Bar Association, and the North Carolina Association of Women Lawyers. Those memberships have been steady for more than a decade. They reflect continued participation in the legal community and access to professional resources and networking in the region.

Over the past decade and a half she has maintained a private practice in North Carolina, running The Dare Law Office, PLLC as its owner and principal lawyer. She continues to serve clients from that office and focuses her current practice on providing legal services to individuals and businesses across North Carolina.
