About Mr. Elliott

Mr. Elliott Stapleton built his academic foundation in political science and business law. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Cincinnati in 1999. He later completed a B.A. in business law and estate planning at the University of Louisville, a program entry listed among his academic credentials.

Early in his legal journey he worked in roles that exposed him to corporate and tax practice. In 2006 he served as a law clerk for Formica Corporation and Formica Group North America. The following year he served as a legal extern at the Internal Revenue Service, an experience that placed him inside a federal agency's legal operations.

By 2011 he was a partner at Cornetet, Meyer, Rush & Stapleton. That role followed years of practical training and built on his earlier clerkships. In 2013 he took on a leadership position outside the law firm context when he became chairman of the board at La Terza Artisan Coffee Roasterie, joining business governance to his legal work.

Stapleton has also taken advisory roles in recent years. In 2022 he appears as an advisor for Slatewell and for CKC Crypto: Fund & Venture Studio. Those listings reflect involvement with startups and fund structures that intersect law, finance and emerging technology.

He maintains active ties to Ohio and Kentucky legal communities. He holds membership in the Ohio State Bar and in the Cincinnati Bar Association since 2007, and he has been associated with the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Cincinnati Bar Association since 2008. He is part of the Cincinnati Lawyer Referral Service and is noted as a Cincinnati probate lawyer through CMRS Law, where he is listed in office directories for the firm and its Hyde Park location.

The arc of his career moves from clerkships and agency work to firm partnership, board leadership and advisory positions. That path has kept him close to probate, estate planning and related business matters. He practices law in Ohio and Kentucky and maintains an office affiliation with CMRS Law in Cincinnati, where he handles probate and estate-related matters in private practice.
