About Mr. Christopher Allen
Mr. Christopher Allen Buckley earned his J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2006 after completing a B.A. in political science at Valparaiso University in 2002. He joined the American Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association in 2006, and later became a member of local and national professional groups including the American Inns of Court, the Porter County Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association.
Buckley’s early legal years were shaped by a series of clerkships and externships that put him inside courtrooms and municipal offices. In 2007 he worked as a law clerk at Austgen, Kuiper & Associates, P.C. He served as a state judicial law clerk in 2008 for Porter Superior Court No. 4. In 2009 he spent time both as a legal extern for the City of South Bend and as a law clerk and associate at Wartman, Conover, Fox & Hedges. Those roles led to an of-counsel position in 2010 at Gordon Etzler & Associates, LLP.
Across those positions Buckley handled core tasks common to both bench and bar. He prepared legal research and memoranda, assisted judges with case preparation, and supported firm attorneys in client matters. The mix of judicial and municipal experience informed his understanding of court procedure and local government practice. He has maintained ongoing ties to county bar associations and the American Inns of Court, reflecting steady engagement with the legal community.
