About Cole

Cole Galloway trained as a lawyer at Valparaiso University, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2017. He arrived in the bar world in the late 2010s after law school and moved quickly into public service. His academic record set the stage for work that has centered on criminal work and appellate practice.

Galloway began his prosecutorial career in Tippecanoe County, serving as a Deputy Prosecuting Lawyer in 2018. He handled the day-to-day duties of a county prosecutor’s office. That role involved courtroom appearances, drafting charging documents, and working with law enforcement and victims. The Tippecanoe post was an early proving ground and offered sustained trial exposure.

Two years later he took a similar title in Lake County, joining that prosecutor’s office as a Deputy Prosecuting Lawyer in 2020. Lake County presented a different docket and caseload pressures. He spent time managing criminal cases through arraignment, plea negotiations, and trial preparation. The move from one county office to another broadened his perspective on how local systems process criminal matters.

Alongside trial work, Galloway pursued appellate credentials. He holds an Appellate Certification from the Indiana Public Defender's Council. That certification denotes formal preparation for appellate advocacy. It also signals that he has worked on issues beyond first-instance litigation, including legal research, brief writing, and oral argument at higher levels of the state system.

His professional path mixes prosecutorial experience and appellate training. Those pieces inform how he approaches fact development, legal analysis, and courtroom strategy. Colleagues and court records reflect steady involvement in criminal matters across county lines and at multiple phases of litigation. The combination of trial work and appellate skills gives him familiarity with how trial records are developed for potential review.

Galloway is currently associated with Blankenship Law LLC. He practices in Indiana and draws on his years in county prosecutor offices and appellate training. He handles appellate advocacy and trial-level criminal matters in his current practice focus.
