About Morgan M.

Morgan M. Masters is an attorney based in Columbus, Ohio, specializing in education law, employment law, civil rights, and government and administrative law. As the co-founder of Albeit Masters LLC, she is dedicated to representing educators, students, and employees in many legal matters. Morgan was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in 2006 and has amassed over 18 years of legal experience. Additionally, she is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, adding to her capacity to serve clients across various jurisdictions.

Before establishing Albeit Masters LLC, Morgan spent 12 years litigating serious criminal cases, serving as both defense counsel and prosecutor. During this time, she represented multiple municipalities through her role at a large national law firm, where she also advised law enforcement on various legal matters. This extensive trial experience has proven invaluable in her current focus on education and employment law. This lets the attorney navigate complex legal challenges with confidence and skill. Morgan earned her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2006. Prior to that, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from The Ohio State University, where she was also an active participant in club volleyball.

Her academic background laid a strong foundation for her legal career, equipping her with critical analytical skills and a understanding of the law. In recognition of her expertise, she was listed in the Best Lawyers in America® for Education Law and Employment Law categories in 2026 and was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2020 to 2022. In addition to her legal practice, Morgan has served as a Magistrate for the Reynoldsburg Mayor’s Court since 2015. This role allows her to contribute to the community by overseeing legal proceedings and ensuring justice is served. Since 2023, she has also taken on the position of University Appointed Title IX Advisor for Faculty, Employees, and Students at a Division I public institution, further demonstrating her commitment to education and advocacy. Morgan is an active member of the Columbus Bar Association, having joined in 2023.

She frequently presents on topics related to education law, sharing her knowledge and insights with peers. Notably, she delivered a presentation titled "An Evaluation of Strategy to Support Successful Community Re-Entry" for the Ohio Black Judges Association in October 2023. Additionally, she conducted a session called "College Kid Primer: What Every College Kid (and Parent) Needs to Know" for the Columbus Bar Association from January to December 2022. Outside of her professional commitments, Morgan resides in Columbus with her husband and two daughters, whom she actively coaches in various sports. She enjoys golfing, playing volleyball, designing and building carpentry projects, and cooking, reflecting her diverse interests and dedication to family.
