About Mitchell
Mitchell J. Hoffman is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist with over 45 years of experience in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School in 1976. He served on the board of editors of the Tulane Law Review and was selected to the Order of the Coif, the highest honor a law student can receive. Since his admission to the Louisiana State Bar in 1976, he has been admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana, various federal Courts of Appeal.
The United States Supreme Court. Mr. Hoffman's practice encompasses many family law matters, including divorce, custody disputes, community property issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. He also handles insurance defense, commercial and civil litigation, corporate and business law, and general litigation. His extensive trial experience spans state and federal courts, mediation and arbitration panels, administrative agencies, and specialized courts.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Hoffman has been recognized for his professional achievements. He holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell® and has been included in the Super Lawyers® list since its inception. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. The Louisiana Association of Justice.
