About Miranda

Miranda Soucie built a legal path from the classroom to the courtroom. She earned a B.A. in Theatre Education from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2007 and completed her J.D. at the University of Illinois College of Law in 2010. Those years shaped an approach that balances preparation and presence.

She began her professional life at Spiros Law, P.C., joining the firm in 2010 as a law clerk. She moved into a leadership role there and now serves as a partner. Her colleagues describe her as steady in high-pressure settings. She is admitted to practice in both Illinois and Florida and holds licenses to each state’s bar.

Soucie expanded her practical training through the American Association for Justice’s Justice Leadership Academy. She has been active in bar and trial organizations since early in her career. She joined the Illinois State Bar Association and the American Association for Justice in 2010, and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association in 2013. Locally, she has been involved with the East Central Illinois Women Lawyers Association for more than a decade, serving as vice president for communications from 2013 to 2014 and as president beginning in 2014.

In recent years her roles have broadened beyond the regional level. She holds positions on the National College of Advocacy Executive Committee and serves as secretary of the Women’s Trial Lawyer Caucus, both beginning in 2023. She is chair-elect of the Professional Negligence Section, a role she assumed in 2023. She also participates on the American Association for Justice executive committee connected to the women’s caucus, a post she has held since 2021.

Her work combines courtroom advocacy and case development. Colleagues point to her trial experience and her involvement in professional negligence issues as key aspects of her practice. She maintains an active trial calendar and continues to develop courtroom strategies and litigation plans.

Outside the firm she balances association responsibilities with client work. She speaks at regional events and contributes to professional committees, often on topics tied to trial advocacy and professional responsibility. Her profile in legal circles reflects steady involvement in both local and national organizations.

She currently practices at Spiros Law, P.C., handling trial advocacy and professional negligence matters.
