Michal S. Lipshitz took a route into law that began in a different discipline. She earned a B.S. in Textiles and Apparel from Queens College in 2008 and remained curious about systems and regulation. That curiosity led her to Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she completed her J.D. in 2014.
Her practical legal training began while she was still a student. In 2012 she worked as a legal intern at Riker Danzig. The following year included a string of placements: a legal internship at Richardson Legal PLLC, a judicial internship with the Kings County Supreme Court in the IDV part, and a position as a legal assistant at Neil M.
