About Michael T.

Michael T. Pidgeon earned his law degree from Washington & Lee University School of Law in 2004 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Washington & Lee three years earlier. He arrived at law school on the heels of undergraduate studies and left with the credentials that launched his legal career. The years around his study were formative. They gave him a foundation in legal reasoning and the skills needed for practice.

Pidgeon moved into private practice and, in 2013, joined Stark & Stark as an associate. The listing of that role captures a chapter of his career. As an associate he handled the day-to-day work that supports case development: research, drafting court documents, preparing discovery, and counseling clients on procedural matters. The position required managing schedules, coordinating with senior attorneys, and producing the written work that shapes outcomes in both contested and transactional matters.

Colleagues describe him as steady in the details. He writes plainly and organizes complex information into clear memoranda and briefs. His courtroom preparation emphasizes practical readiness. He has worked on matters that demanded careful fact development and methodical legal analysis. That background has shaped how he approaches problem solving and client communication.

Outside of the files, his academic background at Washington & Lee remained a throughline. The law school’s emphasis on legal history and advocacy influenced his approach to both research and oral argument. He continued to refine his skills through hands-on litigation support and client meetings, rather than by taking a single, narrow path. That breadth of experience is reflected in daily practice and in the kinds of assignments he has taken on at the firm.

As of 2026, Pidgeon continues to practice law and focuses on the core work of an experienced associate: legal research, drafting, negotiation, and litigation support for firm clients. He balances written advocacy with client-facing responsibilities, maintaining a practice consistent with his years at a regional law firm.
