About Michael T
Michael T Bostick trained in law after a broad undergraduate education in psychology and legal studies. He earned a Juris Doctor from West Virginia University College of Law in 2005. Before law school he attended the University of Central Florida, where his coursework produced both B.A. and B.S. credentials in psychology and a B.A. in legal studies, recorded in the early 2000s. That mix of social science and legal training shows up in the kinds of work he has done since entering practice.
He began his legal career in public defense. In 2008 he worked at the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office, where he handled criminal matters on behalf of clients who could not afford private counsel. Private practice followed, and he moved through a string of Florida law firms over the next decade. His resume lists roles at Ben-Ezra & Katz, P.A. (2010), Tripp Scott, P.A. (2011), Greenspoon Marder, P.A. (2013) and McGlinchey Stafford (2013). By 2016 he took an associate position at Robertson, Anschutz & Schneid, P.L., a firm known for creditor and litigation work.
That same year he became managing lawyer at Bostick Law Group, PLLC. The title indicates a leadership role in a small firm environment and suggests responsibility for both casework and firm operations. In 2017 he added municipal government experience, serving as an Assistant City Lawyer for the City of Fort Lauderdale. That role placed him on the other side of local government matters compared with earlier defense and private-practice work.
Over time his practice has involved criminal defense from the public side and civil litigation in private firms, along with municipal legal work for a city government. Those experiences have ranged from courtroom appearances to drafting and reviewing municipal documents. He has worked in both public-sector and private-sector settings, giving him exposure to different procedures and client expectations.
Bostick has maintained membership in professional associations throughout his career. Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in approach: he works through factual questions, weighs procedural options and prepares cases to move forward when necessary. He has handled matters that require adaptation to changing facts and shifting calendar pressures, often balancing multiple files.
He continues as managing lawyer at Bostick Law Group, PLLC, where his practice focuses on civil litigation, municipal matters and client counseling.
