About Lyle
Lyle Long began his professional path at the University of Florida, where he completed a Bachelor of Science. He went on to earn a Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University College of Law. Those academic stops set the stage for a career spent largely in South Florida courts and community institutions.
Early in his career Long became involved in several civic and leadership organizations. He has taken part in the Exchange Club of Pompano Beach and the New Leaders Council, and he counts Florida Blue Key among his affiliations. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, a credential that has allowed him to handle federal matters alongside his local practice.
Long has balanced practice and teaching. He has served as an adjunct professor at Florida Atlantic University, bringing practical courtroom experience into the classroom. Students encountered an instructor who could speak about litigation and procedure from recent, real-world perspective.
Within the legal community Long maintains memberships that reflect his area of work. He is a member of the Broward Civil Trial Lawyers Association and the Broward County Bar Association. Those ties keep him connected to colleagues and to developments in local civil trial practice. He also participates in civic groups that intersect with law and public affairs, which has shaped his understanding of the community his clients come from.
Today Long practices at LJ Law Group in Broward County. His work centers on civil trial matters, and he regularly appears in county and federal courts in the region. He handles pretrial preparation, motion practice and courtroom trials, and he continues to teach and take part in local civic and professional organizations as part of his broader involvement in the legal community.
He maintains an active practice at LJ Law Group focused on civil trial work.
