About Michael

Michael Malvey built his legal foundation at the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a B.A. in 1999, and then at Temple University, receiving his J.D. in 2002. He completed his formal legal training at a time when the profession was shifting in many directions. Those early years of study produced a practical approach to courtroom work and an interest in advocacy that would mark his career.

Soon after finishing law school, Malvey joined Galfand Berger. Records list him as a Senior Partner there beginning in 2002. That association has defined much of his professional trajectory and kept him active in trial practice and courtroom proceedings across multiple venues. Colleagues and court filings show a steady presence on matters that required appearances before both state and federal tribunals.

Malvey is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He holds memberships in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of New Jersey. His practice also extends into the federal system: he is admitted to the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Those admissions reflect a career spent handling cases that move between trial courts and appellate review.

Outside of court dockets, Malvey maintains active ties to several professional organizations. He is listed as a current member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, and the American Association for Justice. He also lists membership connected to union representation through an office at USW Local 6996, alongside practice locations in Philadelphia, Reading and the Allentown/Bethlehem area. Those offices serve as bases for client meetings and for coordinating filings across the state and federal courts where he appears.

Over the years Malvey has balanced courtroom work with the administrative requirements of multi-office practice. He appears regularly in state and federal court dockets in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and continues to be active in bar and professional groups that shape litigation procedure. As of 2026 he practices in state and federal courts across Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
