About Michael H.
Michael H. Fienman built his professional foundation in the liberal arts before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Religion from Dickinson College in 2006, then attended Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, receiving his J.D. in 2010 after training in trial advocacy.
After law school he moved into criminal defense and related practice areas. He established Fienman Defense, PLLC and serves as the firm's founder and principal lawyer. His practice has grown around courtroom work and case preparation, and he has taken roles that range from managing clients’ matters to representing them at trial and in hearings.
His training includes credentialing from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in DWI detection and standardized field sobriety testing. That training informs how he evaluates evidence in driving-under-the-influence cases. He is also a certified arbitrator for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, a qualification that reflects experience handling disputes outside the usual trial framework.
Fienman holds admissions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He maintains active memberships in several local and national organizations. Those include the Pennsylvania State Bar, the National College for DUI Defense, and a string of county bar associations in the region.
He is on the rosters of the Montgomery, Delaware and Bucks County bar associations, and in 2023 he joined the Philadelphia Criminal Law Inn of Court as a barrister. His involvement in those groups ranges from association membership to participation in professional gatherings and educational programs that address criminal law developments.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney who mixes courtroom preparation with hands-on casework. He has worked on matters that require careful review of police procedures and forensic evidence, and he applies his certified sobriety-testing background when relevant. He also brings arbitration experience to cases that may be resolved outside of a jury trial.
Fienman Defense, PLLC lists him as its founder, and he continues to operate the practice. He represents individuals in criminal matters, including DWI and related offenses, and manages the firm's litigation and dispute-resolution work. His current practice centers on criminal defense, DWI matters, and arbitration services.
