About Michael
Michael Flynn earned a B.A. in Political Science and Economics from Swarthmore College in 1997 and a J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 2009. His academic background combines liberal arts and legal training. Those years set the stage for a practice that intersects state and federal court work.
Soon after finishing law school, Flynn joined Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP. Records list him as a partner at the firm beginning in 2009. Over time he established himself within the firm’s roster of litigators and counselors. His work has taken him into a variety of court settings and procedural postures.
He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, in Delaware, and before the Federal Circuit. Those admissions reflect an emphasis on litigation that reaches appellate and federal fora. Since 2010 he has held membership in the Federal Circuit Bar Association, a professional group that gathers lawyers who appear in that court and tracks its developments.
Flynn’s practice involves legal work that moves through multiple levels of review. He prepares briefs, handles motions, and manages procedural strategy for matters that can implicate both state court filings in Delaware and federal appeals. His experience in courts at the appellate level informs how cases are routed and argued. Colleagues describe him as someone who focuses on the procedural and substantive contours of appellate disputes rather than on trial-only practice.
At Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP Flynn works with clients and fellow lawyers on matters requiring filings in federal appellate courts and Delaware courts. He has been active in legal circles that center on the Federal Circuit and maintains the admissions necessary to appear in those venues. He currently practices at Morris, Nichols, Arsht & Tunnell LLP, where his work centers on appellate and federal-court matters.
