Michael E. Perez studied political science at the University of Georgia, earning his B.A. in 1997. He returned to the same campus for law school and received his J.D. in 2000. Those years shaped his approach to litigation and gave him a steady grounding in legal research and advocacy.
Perez began his post-law school career as a senior associate at Mark F. Dehler, LLC in 2001. He handled courtroom work early on and learned how to prepare cases for trial. That period established a pattern: steady hands-on experience in contested matters and repeated courtroom appearances.
In 2009 he moved to Edmond, Lindsay & Hoffler, LLP, taking on a broader docket. The role expanded his responsibilities and exposed him to different case management challenges. Six years later he became a partner at Warshauer Law Group. Partnership brought more oversight duties, client development and supervision of associate attorneys. It also deepened his familiarity with trial strategy and the logistics of running complex cases.
In 2022 Perez opened The Perez Law Office, LLC and now serves as owner and trial lawyer. He is licensed in Georgia and maintains memberships in several professional organizations, including the National Hispanic Bar Association, the DeKalb Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and the Georgia Hispanic Bar Association.
