Following his graduation from law school, he was admitted to the Ohio State Bar in 1990, starting a distinguished legal career. His legal experience includes being licensed to practice in the U.S. District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Before co-founding Kravitz, Brown & Dortch, LLC in 2006, he served as an associate at Baker & Hostetler, LLP, where he began his legal career in 1990. Throughout his career, he has represented clients in complex cases involving commercial disputes, contract issues, and probate matters, as well as specialized cases in environmental and energy law. In addition to his legal practice, Dortch contributes to the education of future lawyers as an adjunct professor of law at Capital University Law School. His commitment to the legal community extends beyond the classroom; he is a past president of the Columbus Chapter of the Federal Bar Association and maintains active membership in the American, Ohio, Columbus. Residing in Violet Township, Fairfield County, Dortch enjoys a fulfilling personal life with his wife, Lynn. The couple has been married for over 30 years and shares a focus on outdoor activities, including boating and snow skiing with their family. In his leisure time, he also enjoys playing golf, despite acknowledging that his skills on the course may not be the best.
