About Michael
Michael Cross earned his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2006. He completed his legal education during a period of significant change in the practice of law, and he entered practice prepared to work across state lines. The law degree set the foundation for a career that extends through the Mountain West and the Plains.
After law school, Cross established a multi-jurisdictional practice. He is admitted to practice in Arizona, Colorado and Nebraska. Those admissions have shaped a career that navigates differences in state law and procedure. He has worked on matters that require coordination across courts and regulatory bodies in more than one state.
Cross is associated with Ogborn Mihm, LLP. His affiliation there places him in a regional environment where cases and transactions often touch multiple jurisdictions. At the firm, he works with colleagues who handle litigation, regulatory and transactional matters. He contributes to case strategy and client counseling where cross-border issues arise.
He maintains memberships in state bars that reflect his active licenses. Cross is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the Nebraska State Bar. Those memberships keep him connected to local court rules, continuing legal education and bar resources. They also provide the professional framework for his practice in those states.
Colleagues describe Cross as pragmatic and detail-oriented in courtroom preparation and negotiation. He favors clear analysis and straightforward communication with clients and opposing counsel. He has developed routines for managing cases that span different state systems, which helps reduce friction for clients who operate or litigate in more than one jurisdiction.
Outside of casework he follows developments in regional law that affect business operations and litigation strategy. He reads court decisions and stays current on procedural changes that can affect timing and outcomes. That attention to procedural detail is a practical asset in matters that must proceed in multiple forums.
Cross continues to practice law at Ogborn Mihm, LLP, handling matters that reach across Arizona, Colorado and Nebraska. His current practice focuses on representing clients in matters across those states.
