About Michael C.

Michael C. Bradley earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, graduating with a B.S. in 1992. He moved into the law through practice rather than a high-profile academic path. The early degree provided a foundation in analytical thinking that he later applied in court and at the negotiating table.

He built his legal career in Alabama courts and federal districts across the state. He is admitted to practice before the Alabama Supreme Court and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama. Those admissions allowed him to handle matters that cross the boundary between state and federal systems. Much of his work has taken place in the local courtrooms of Birmingham and the federal courthouses that serve the region.

Bradley has been associated with the firm Pittman, Dutton & Hellums during his career. At that firm he has handled litigation matters and appeared in both trial and motion settings. His practice has involved preparing cases for trial, arguing procedural matters, and managing discovery and evidentiary issues. He has represented clients before juries, judges and in pretrial proceedings.

Professional associations have been a steady part of his practice life. He holds memberships in the Alabama State Bar and the Birmingham Bar Association. He is also a member of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. These organizations connect him to peers who practice trial advocacy and civil litigation, and they provide resources for courtroom procedure, continuing education and case law developments.

Colleagues describe Bradley as methodical in courtroom preparation and deliberate in his courtroom presentations. He tends to break complex legal problems into discrete issues and address them one by one. That approach shows in his case files and in how he structures arguments at hearings. It also shapes how he manages client expectations and explains the litigation process to those he represents.

Today Bradley continues to practice in Alabama state and federal courts. He handles litigation that proceeds through motion practice and trial, and he remains active in bar and trial lawyer organizations. His current practice centers on courtroom litigation and the procedural work that supports it.
