About Michael
Michael Bonan built a legal path that moves from business classrooms to courtroom corridors. He studied business first, earning a B.B.A. in finance and marketing from the University of Miami in 2010. He stayed at Miami for law school and received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013.
Early in his career he combined practice and teaching. In 2018 he served as an injunction for protection lawyer at SafeSpace, representing individuals seeking court orders intended to protect them from harm. That same year he taught business law as an adjunct professor at Indian River State College, drawing on his undergraduate training in finance and marketing to explain legal concepts to students.
A year later he moved into the judicial system. In 2019 Bonan worked as a supervising senior trial court law clerk in the 15th Judicial Circuit of Florida. The post placed him close to trial practice and court procedure. It also required reviewing pleadings, drafting recommended orders and assisting judges in preparing for hearings and trials.
In 2021 he joined Kitroser & Associates as an associate lawyer. At the firm he has handled cases that required both courtroom experience and detailed legal research. He works on matters that touch the trial calendar and on paperwork that shapes litigation long before a hearing date arrives.
Bonan’s background crosses several practice areas. His time at SafeSpace gives him direct experience with injunctions for protection and related family-safety issues. The clerkship provided an inside view of trial court mechanics and the practical rhythms of litigation. His teaching stint reflects an ability to break down legal concepts for nonlawyers and students.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and direct. He approaches cases by focusing on the facts, the governing rules and the deadlines that matter to clients and courts. He has remained active in Florida practice and maintains ties to the legal community where he has worked.
He currently practices at Kitroser & Associates in Florida, where his work encompasses civil litigation, injunctions for protection and business law matters.
