About Joe
Joe Southron came to law after a grounding in technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Information Science from Drexel University in 2005 and stayed at Drexel for his legal training, receiving a J.D. from Drexel University School of Law in 2010. Those years shaped how he approaches problems: methodically and with attention to systems as well as statutes.
After law school he built a practice in Florida. He has spent his career practicing under state jurisdiction, handling matters that draw on both his legal education and his undergraduate background in information science. Colleagues describe him as methodical and pragmatic. He seeks clear answers for clients and tends to break complex issues into understandable parts.
Southron has taken on roles beyond client work. He serves on the executive committee of Tampa Bay Tech and acts as the committee’s secretary. He also sits on the board of St. Michaels Legal Clinic, where he contributes to governance and program decisions. He maintains memberships in local professional organizations and participates in community-oriented legal efforts when opportunities arise.
His practice combines legal training with an interest in how technology affects business and regulatory questions. He pays particular attention to factual detail and procedural posture. That approach informs how he prepares cases and advises clients. He favors careful assessment over broad pronouncements and aims to present options clearly so clients can make decisions with confidence.
Outside of the office he is involved in civic and professional groups in the Tampa Bay area. Those activities feed back into his legal work by keeping him connected to the local business and nonprofit communities. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and practices in the state.
He currently represents individuals and businesses in Florida across a range of legal matters.
