About Michael B.

Michael B. Galbraith built a legal career that moves between courtroom work and private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Delaware in 2002 and took his law degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 2006. He was admitted to the Delaware bar in 2006 and has been active in the state’s legal community since then.

Early in his career Galbraith joined Weik, Nitsche & Dougherty, where he was on staff beginning in 2008. As the firm evolved he continued there when the name read Weik, Nitsche, Dougherty & Galbraith in 2013. He later opened Galbraith Law LLC in 2015 and spent time at the Law Office of A. Dale Bowers, P.A. in 2016. In 2018 he took on a leadership role as a director at Cooch and Taylor P.A., where he remains on the firm roster.

Those positions reflect steady work in Delaware civil litigation and trial practice. Over the years Galbraith has handled matters that required courtroom preparation, pleadings, and advocacy on behalf of individual clients and businesses. His practice history shows repeated involvement in litigation teams and in roles that require coordinating strategy among attorneys and staff.

Outside case files, Galbraith has been active in professional organizations. He has been a member of the Delaware State Bar Association since 2006 and served on the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association’s Amicus Committee beginning in 2008. That committee work has involved reviewing and contributing to amicus briefs and tracking appellate developments relevant to trial lawyers. He was also a member of the American Association for Justice between 2008 and 2016.

Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and attentive to detail in preparing cases for trial and settlement. He has alternated between solo practice and roles at established firms, a blend that has exposed him to both the business side of running a practice and the demands of courtroom litigation. He has handled matters across Delaware, drawing on familiarity with local courts and procedural rules.

Today Galbraith is based at Cooch and Taylor P.A. in Delaware, where his work continues to concentrate on civil litigation and trial matters. He remains active in bar groups that monitor appellate and trial court developments and continues to handle litigation on behalf of clients in the state.
