Michael A. Smolensky builds a practice out of steady preparation and a clear sense of place. He trained first as a student of history and language, then as a classroom professional, and finally as a lawyer. The path is visible in his résumé: a bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in 1994 after a double major in history and Spanish; a master’s in education from Simmons College in 1999; and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2008.
Those academic years were consecutive and purposeful. He attended Tufts from 1990 to 1994, then moved into graduate study at Simmons from 1997 to 1999. He enrolled at Rutgers in 2005 and completed his law degree in 2008. The shift from education to law shaped how he approaches clients and cases. Smolensky was admitted to practice in New Jersey in 2008. Early on he joined the State Bar of New Jersey and steadily added local bar memberships. In 2010 he opened the Law Office of Michael A. Smolensky LLC. He has operated that office since then. Running a solo practice has required him to manage both the legal and business sides of representation. Over time he has handled case intake, client counseling, litigation preparation, and court filings. The office serves clients who bring matters into New Jersey courts and administrative forums.
